Social media influencer, Ugo Babe speaks on her dreams.

The Imo State born UK based fast rising social media sensation,Mrs Ugochi Okoro known by her social media name as Ugo Babe and the CEO of Ugo Babe TV is someone who perhaps is a “one woman army” in search of a fertile socio-political grounds for her state of Imo in the Southeastern part of Nigeria. After relocating to London with her husband and kids, Ugo Babe found love in the use of social media to effect positive change in the society. While speaking with the Umuaka Times correspondent in the UK, Ugo Babe disclosed that she started as a social media influencer in the year 2020 with the Facebook handle, Showing Love to Cheerful Givers. She used this name for a while before changing it to Ugo Babe TV.
In less than three years, Ugo Babe who is a native of Umuele Amazano in Umuaka Municipal Council Njaba LGA Imo State, has been able to pay the school fees of many students from economically disadvantaged homes, rented houses for two families (one in Lagos and another in Port Harcourt), given widows in and outside Imo State a helping hand and many other things.
Ugo Babe confirmed to Umuaka Times that it has not been so easy while carrying out the social works she has been involved with over the years. At times people call her on phone and pray for her while at times people who feel moved, call her also and ask if there is any role they could play. Umuaka Times gathered that Ugo Babe is not affiliated with any NGO or with any grant making agency. Ugo Babe TV is perfectly on her own.
Asked to narrate who influenced her into doing what she is doing, she disclosed that the spirit of helping others has always been inherent in her from her childhood days. “I have been into charity from birth and I really thank God for using me as a channel to reach out to others,” she told Umuaka Times.
Besides social works and social media influence, Ugo Babe is also talented in comedy and acting. A couple of weeks ago, she released some videos where she and Chief Imo, a popular Imo State born comedian were acting some skits in the streets of London.
There seems to be a group of persons that helps Ugo Babe to be doing all she is doing. When Umuaka Times tried to find out, she laughed and said that the only support she gets comes from her husband Mr Ben Okoro whom she described as “the only backbone I have.” She used the opportunity to pray and thanked him for all he has been doing and asked God to continue to boast her husband’s confidence in her. She also thanked her late parents, Chief and Lolo Cecile and Francis Madu for their roles in her life and prayed to God to continue to rest their souls in peace.
Asked to paint a picture of the dream of her social media influence, she again disclosed that she hopes to have a big opportunity where she can be reaching out to the poor in their large numbers with concrete solutions in at least three states in Nigeria.
For now, Ugo Babe TV has assumed the status of a global social media influencer who uses her base in the United Kingdom to reach out to people in need and offer solutions. Her Facebook handle which is Ugo Babe TV has continued to grow from glory to glory as many followers have joined the race with Ugo Babe TV to make the world a better place.
