“Strip Tinubu of Lagos gubernatorial powers.” Ikwubuo.

An American based Akahlite and pro-democracy advocate, Mr Victor Ikwubuo has appealed to Obidients all over Nigeria, especially those in Lagos to come out in their large numbers and vote for Labour Party in the next general election coming up on Saturday March 11, 2022. Mr. Ikwubuo who spoke from his American base in a brief interview with the Umuaka Times correspondent in America last week seriously condemned the manner the APC and some of her supporters used violence and several means of electoral irregularities to manipulate the result of the elections in Lagos held on February 25, 2023.

While appealing to the Lagos Obidients to come out and support the Labour Party, during the next coming election, Ikwubuo noted that, “It is imperative that Obidients in Lagos, participate in the next Lagos gubernatorial election like never before and strip Tinubu of Lagos State’s gubernatorial powers if he unfortunately mounts the Presidency.”

Ikwubuo noted that it was necessary for the Obidients to block Tinubu from having access to Lagos governorship power base because if he “unfortunately mounts the seat of power in Abuja, it will not be easy for him to winch hunt the Lagos Obidients. But when his man wins the governorship election in Lagos, he will find it easy to work against the Obidients in Lagos.”

Asked if the ugly development of violence, intimidation and thuggery that took place during the presidential election would not happen again in the state, Ikwubuo responded again and said. “The most effective way to deal with a bully is to confront him boldly with superior power, stronger brute force, superior reasoning, whichever that would get the job done. A bully is like a carnivorous beast that comes after you if you run or show fear: But runs if one shows courage and or charge against it.”

In his final note, Ikwubuo advised the Obidients to be watchful and safety minded while going out to cast their votes for Lagos Labour Party on March 11, 2023.
