The giant strides of Emeka Ibegbulem

2 min read

The Emelong Foundation, an international charity foundation which carries out intervention programs in Germany and Nigeria, precisely in Umuaka, has indeed given the pupils of Riverside Primary School Isiozi and the entire Isiozi people some reasons to smile. For over a period of one year and still counting, the foundation has been feeding the pupils from Riverside Primary School with quality food. This kind gesture of the foundation does not stop there; it has also given the pupils some educational and writing materials to support their education.

When Umuaka Times recently met the Executive Director of the foundation, the German based Mr Emeka Ibegbulem, he told the newspaper that his foundation some months ago built a bungalow in the school premises which cost about N14million. Since that time, the school has been enjoying a lot of interventions and palliatives from the foundation.

For about a couple of weeks now, there is a steady supply of fresh water for the school and the people who live close to the school locality. A private borehole drilling firm which was hired by the foundation has completed the borehole project in the school premises. “Now the pupils will have access to drinkable water in big supply,” Ibegbulem told Umuaka Times.

Umuaka Times gathered that there is also an expansion plan by the foundation to erect more buildings in the school, especially kitchens so as to ensure that no child will be left hungry in the school.
