The Great Umuaka Times Debate. Eze Nnajiemere speaks.
1 min readThe Great Umuaka Times debate last week took a new dimension from another local government area to listen to the views of another royal father in the ongoing debate. The traditional ruler of Amurie Omanze, HRH Eze Charles O. Nnajiemere, the Eze Udo of Amurie Omanze recently spoke with Umuaka Times in an exclusive interview concerning the debate. Below is the contribution of the royal father towards the great Umuaka Times Debate.
“It is good for traditional rulers especially in Igboland to use Igbo language officially because they are the head of culture and tradition of the people. It is good and imperative for a royal father to pick someone who will interpret or translate to English language as he addresses his audience in his local language. Anytime there will be an event which a royal father will have a role to play, the royal father should make it as a point of duty to address his audience in Igbo language etc. It is good that this starts as soon as possible for our younger generations to emulate.”
