The Oguikes, extended families celebrate Dr Agbahiwe.

Last week in the family compound of the late Elder Francis Oguike in Uba Umuaka, Dr Austin Agbahiwe, a high profile Akalite officially presented a house he built for his in-laws in remembrance of his late mother in-law, the late Mrs Dorothy Oguike who died recently. The Umuduruori Family Union who came to witness the event presented a thank you message to Agbahiwe for his kindness. Below is the thank you message which was read by Engineer Vice Onyemepu.
Dear son and brother-In-law of Umuduruoriaku, Dr Austin Chidi Agbahiwe,
We the members of Umuduruoriaku family of Umuezikeoha, Uba Umuaka, your in-laws ably represented by just a few of us here present, wish to specially thank you for your thoughts, considerations and actual construction of a building edifice you single-handedly executed in our family and for the exclusive use of the family of your father-in-law, Late Elder Francis Oguike. We considered it very desirable, incredible and more importantly unprecedented gesture from an in-law in our family in such magnitude. Hence, this special gathering to appreciate you and your darling wife, Nkechi, our sister for this wonderful Building Edifice.
We are not unaware that prior to your taking the status of our in-law, you already had and maintained close friendship with some members of our family and that your marrying their sister is indeed a way of cementing your relationship with them. It is worth noting that many such relationships had gone sour over years in many instances, but yours with us has rather grown stronger for over twenty-five (25) years we have given you our sister in marriage. We are therefore thankful to God for helping us to sustain the friendship for this long and pray that the future of your relationship with our family will be stronger and mutually beneficial than the present.
As you can see, we are joining hands with the direct beneficiaries of this edifice, Lilian, Chidi, Oluchi and Nkechi to appreciate you for this wonderful gift to our family, not because we sought their consent to do so, but because we love good things and can go any height to appreciate good things done to any members of our families. The fact that we have the Chairman of Umuduruoriaku and his executives present in this ceremony including the Chairlady of our women wing and her executives is indicative of the magnitude of our appreciation to you.
it is important to mention that this occasion was initiated, organized and sponsored by your friends in Umuduruoriaku who believe that your gesture is worthy of our appreciation. They are: Dr. Uche Oguike, Mazi Sonex Oguike, Chief Ugo Johnson Anyiam, Engr Sam Nnabuihe, Chief Alphonsus Egwuogu, Chief Vitalis Onyemepu, Mr Chidi Victor Oguike, Mr. Ikenna Ojinkeya, Mr Kingsley Onyemepu, Engr Emma Oguike, Mr Tony Oguike, Engr. Greg Oguike, and Bar Henry Oguike. I was only qualified to participate as their errand boy.
