Think Home Philosophy. By Charles Ogechukwu Onyenagorom.
3 min readThink home philosophy is born out of the love and desire the author got for the progress of AKAH EBE-IRI.
The message the author intends to pass across is the need for our elites and business moguls/tycoons in all spheres of life to consider the sufferings of the people of our land, more than 65% of the youths in our land is unemployed hence most of our youths resort to ill gotten wealth e.g acquiring wealth through dubious means (internet scam, car and motorcycle snatching, stealing and dealing on illicit drugs etc).
Insecurity and disunity in the land must be checkmated. For awhile, Akah Ebe-Iri was calm as a result of the efforts made by the elites of our dear community security wise… the youths and our parents residing around Umuaka and environs are grateful for the efforts made. “Ndi Igbo si ekele onye akidi ogwota ozo” As we can see, insecurity in our society in recent weeks is gradually becoming a factor to be checkmated in a more tactical and clandestine way.
The author of this written work of artistic value believes that the elites of our land can handle insecurity and disunity that are underdeveloping Akah Ebe-Iri.
The leaders of New Umuaka Project Initiative (NUP-I) that has been the messiah of Akah Ebe-iri in recent times through “The new normal mantra” allowed a mere misunderstanding to disorganize the organization hence the aims and objectives of the organization are being neglected till this day technically though the 2 divides in NUP-I,may or might not want to accept this simple fact.
Lovers of our land, philanthropists, Nation builders, peace advocates and progressive minded descendants of Umuaka why are you all keeping mute? The youths of our dear Umuaka are in pains, our fathers and mothers are in pains too. Why can’t you all use your status in the society to arrest all these anomalies that are bedeviling our dear Umuaka? What is stopping you all from investing in our society, the youths of our land are jobless… what is the essence of the blessings of GOD to you all in form of riches and wealth if you all can’t think home and invest so that a good number of our youths will be gainfully employed.
Most of our elites always make reference of Ndi Anambra, what stops them from replicating the good things ndi Anambra have been doing in Anambra State? Umuaka as a society needs factories so as to compete with other contemporary societies within and outside Imo state. All we see these days in Umuaka are hotels, brothels and chalets. We’ve got successful businessmen in Umuaka yet none of them wants to establish a factory in Umuaka, how then will Umuaka attract foreign investors?
I’m appealing to our elites to consider investing or establishing big businesses in our community. We’ve got men of timber and calibre in our land yet Umuaka is still underdeveloped compared to most communities in Ala Igbo.
The think home philosophy advocacy means no disrespect or insult to the elites of our land but this literature is born out of the love I have for Akah Ebe-Iri.
The Umuaka of our dreams is achievable. The time is now fellow compatriots.
