The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AmiyiAkah Football Academy, Chief Chika Duru, has expressed profound appreciation to all individuals and groups who contributed to the success of the academy’s first anniversary celebration held on Easter Sunday at Central School Umuaka.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with UK correspondents of Umuaka Times last Sunday, Chief Duru said she was filled with joy after watching video highlights of the event. She described the celebration as a remarkable success and commended the collective efforts that made it possible.

Emphasizing that charity begins at home; she first extended her gratitude to the traditional ruler of AmiyiAkah Autonomous Community, His Royal Highness Eze Francis Ahanotu, as well as His Royal Majesty Eze Justin UzomaEzeala of ObinwanneUmuaka Autonomous Community, who both supported the program and offered their royal blessings. She noted that the two monarchs were ably represented.

Chief Duru also conveyed her appreciation to key stakeholders in the football community, including Barrister Ifeanyi Dike, Chairman of Imo FC; Chief ChikelueIlloenyosi, Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association; Mr. UcheKanuAnockwute; Mr. VitalisUgochukwu Obi; Barrister Luke Ukonu; Hon. OziomaEboninni; as well as members of the Umuaka Football Association and other supporters.

She further acknowledged the contributions of both senior and junior players who participated in the matches, praising their commitment and sportsmanship throughout the event.

In addition, the academy’s CEO commended the efforts of football commentators, spectators, and all others who played vital roles in ensuring the overall success of the celebration.
