The proprietor and the Chief Executive Officer of the latest hotel in town, Chief Uzoma Achazie has given reasons he established the Freeman Arena Hotel and Suites in Umuaka. Chief Achazie who opened the hotel on Sunday, 10 December 2023 told Umuaka Times that it was the spirit of “akatriotism” and aku ruo ulo theory that made him establish such a massive project at home. According to Chief Achazie, he had options and business advice from friends to establish the hotel outside Umuaka but due to his love for Umuaka and his determination to contribute his own personal quota in the development of Umuaka, he took an unshakable decision to establish the business at home.
On the need for other well to do Akalites to bring their investments home, Chief Achazie passionately appealed to his fellow Akalites and their friends to come home and invest, “You see, Umuaka is now a developed town and on daily basis new tenants and businesses are finding their ways to Umuaka, there is an urgent need for our people to come here and invest and create job opportunities. We can even develop an industrial layout right here in Umuaka.”
Concerning the type of services that will be offered by Freeman Arena Hotel and Suites, Umuaka Times gathered from the CEO that the hotel is ready to offer all types of hotel services obtained in Owerri, Enugu, Port Harcourt and other hotels in other cities across Nigeria.
Situated opposite Central School Umuaka, Freeman Arena Hotel and Suites can be said to be strategically situated for fun seekers, lodgers, and others whose businesses often take them to hotels. The hotel has since begun operations.
