Nnaoma Di Ebube Prince Paul Ojinnaka buried.

Thursday August 24, 2023 was a very busy day for the royal family of the Ojinnakas in Uba Umuaka. On the eventful day, the late Nnaoma Di Ebube, Prince Paul Ofotukwe Ojinnaka was laid to rest after spending an eventful life that spanned for 86 years. In the morning of Thursday August 24 which was the date of his burial, something happened which perhaps, came to many people as a surprise. As against the burial program of the late Prince Paul Ojinnaka, the family and the authorities of St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka decided to rush the burial program because of some certain other events taking place on the same date and at different places.
As against the initial program, the corpse of the late Prince arrived at the Ojinnaka royal family compound around 8:12 am and immediately the lying in state followed. For about 30 minutes, the immediate family members and others went in one after the other to pay their last respect to the remains of the late Prince. Immediately after this segment, the motorcade took the corpse to St Mary’s Catholic Church for a requiem Mass. The Mass service did not last more than an hour.
Many people, such as Uba Christian fathers, mothers, youths and many other groups and individuals were all present during the Mass. In accordance with the new burial program, the requiem Mass did not last long before the officiating priest ended it and everybody once again, moved back to the Ojinnaka family compound in Uba in a motorcade for the internment.
The choir of St Mary’s Church and other groups were all there when the priest and his assistants blessed the grave and finally conducted the burial. The burial took place before 11 am on the eventful day, thereby signaling the end of an era for the late Prince Paul Ojinnaka, who was a teacher, footballer, sports lover and many more.
The late Prince Paul Ojinnaka, a devout Christian father, held the Catholic Church title of Nnaoma Di Ebube during his lifetime. The Prince will be missed by his fellow sportsmen and women, former students whom he taught with dedication, family and friends and many more.
