Imo Assembly Backs Tinubu for Second Term in 2027.

The Imo State House of Assembly has unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027, showcasing strong support for his leadership in the southeastern region of Nigeria. Umuaka Times gathered that his development came during Governor Hope Uzodimma’s State of the State Address at the State Assembly Complex last week.
Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu led the motion, praising Tinubu’s achievements, particularly in Imo State and the South Eastern part of Nigeria. According to him, the endorsement highlights Tinubu’s notable contributions to infrastructure and social policies that resonate with the people of Imo State, including developments in education, healthcare, and economic growth.
The Assembly also passed a vote of confidence for Governor Uzodimma, recognizing his efforts in transforming Imo State through infrastructure development and human capital initiatives. Since taking office, Uzodimma has prioritized road construction projects, enhancing connectivity and boosting local economies.
The endorsement aims to solidify Tinubu’s standing in Nigerian politics, demonstrating his commitment to national unity and regional development. The Assembly’s decision reflects trust in Tinubu’s leadership and Uzodimma’s transformative efforts in Imo State.
An attorney who lives in the state spoke to Umuaka Times on the condition of anonymity challenged the Imo House of Assembly to point at one thing the Imo people have benefited from the Tinubu administration since 2023.
