The First Lady of Amiyi Akah otherwise known as Ugoeze Vera Ahanotu, has issued a vote of thanks to all those who attended the academic empowerment program held on January 6, 2026 at the premises of Town School Amiyi Akah by Nzuko Ndi Lolo Amiyi Akah. The academic empowerment program which was aimed at providing the necessary tools such as writing materials for the pupils of Town School Amiyi and the students of St Saviour’s Secondary School was deeply successful.

Speaking with Umuaka Times reporters via a press statement at the end of the event, the Ugoeze who is also the president of the group, first of all thanked the Almighty God for the success of the program right from its inception to the end of the program. She first thanked HRH Eze Francis Ahanotu of Amiyi Akah, HRH Eze Kenjul Uzoho of Acharaji Akah and all the local governments in the state that sent their representatives to the event. The Ugoeze Amiyi Akah also went further to thank all the members of Nzuko Ndi Lolo Amiyi Akah who relentlessly made sure that the empowerment program did not only hold but achieved the expected success at the end.
Explaining to Umuaka Times on how the organization started, Ugoeze Vara Ahanotu stated that the organization Nzuko Ndi Lolo Amiyi Akah was born in the December of 2023. In December 2025 the members of the organization had her first physical meeting at the palace of the royal father of Amiyi Akah Eze Francis Ahanotu where they had the opportunity to see each other for the first time. After a long period of brainstorming and arrangements, the organization on January 6, 2026, held an empowerment program where academic materials like books, biros etc were shared to pupils and students during the program.
In another disclosure, the Ugoeze Amiyi Akah explained to Umuaka Times reporters how the Nzuko Ndi Lolo Amiyi Akah Autonomous Community erected the fence at the Town School Amiyi and went for another project. The most interesting part of the empowerment program according to the Ugoeze is the hand of love she and her members have extended to other communities. Hear her “The writing materials we distributed also went across the primary schools in towns like Obinwanne, Acharaji Akah, and Umuele. We also sent some to Okwudor to cover the community the current chairman of Njaba LGA came from.
The Ugoeze is highly optimistic that by the time the organization spends about 10 years, it must have achieved a whole lot of milestones not only in Amiyi Akah but Imo State.

A document Umuaka Times obtained last week from the organization shows that the organization has a deep leadership structure which comes in the following order.
Ugoeze Vera Ahanotu, the Queen Mother of Amiyi Akah Autonomous Community is the president of the distinguished women’s organization.
Lolo Ify Esomeonu (Ugoeze’s PA), Dr. Lolo Chidimma Ekwunazu (Chief Protocol Officer), Lolo Nonye Duru (Ugoeze’s Secretary), Lolo Linda Ugbaja and Lolo Ahumaraeze.
The executive members are Lolo A.C Nwosu (Chairlady), Lolo Ifeyinya Obilo (Secretary General), Lolo Udochi Amakiri (Assistant Secretary General), Lolo ChikodiObioha (PRO), Lolo Monica Obiefule (Financial Secretary), Nwaiwu Stella (provost), Gertrude Duruolumba (provost).
