Imo governorship 2024: How prepared is Dr T.J Ehirim? (1).

For about a period of two years running, a young, dynamic and highly educated patriotic Imolite has occupied the political space in Imo State especially as it concerns the governorship. The man in question who has been making wide and fruitful consultations both in Nigeria and outside has not only demonstrated capacity to face the job of being the next governor of Imo but he has also convinced many Igbo intellectuals, youths, industrialists and grassroots populations that he can as well assemble a formidable team to move Imo forward.
The man, Dr TJ Ehirim is the most talked about governorship aspirant in Imo State as presently constituted today. An APGA stalwart who has a flourishing pharmaceutical business in South Africa has indeed made meaningful strides both in academics and business. Dr Ehirim has been consulting prominent politicians across Nigeria to seek both their support and blessings for the heavy task ahead.
A native of Umudim Umuele-Amazano in Umuakah Municipal Council of Njaba LGA of Orlu Senatorial Zone Imo State, Dr Ehirim is a trained pharmacist who among other qualities is a grassroots politician and philanthropist. As a dynamic and well grounded politician, the young Dr Ehirim was born and raised in a rural Nigeria setting. He actively participated in all the childhood activities and cultural ceremonies in his community and mixed properly alongside other children and his contemporaries.
Academic activities such as quiz competitions gave little Tobechukwu Justice Ehirim the edge and fame he needed to excel with in his academics. Ehirim confirmed to Umuaka Times, “I was the Leader of the State Primary School Umuele Umuaka School Quiz Competition Team”.
After his primary school education, Ehirim proceeded to St. Augustine’s Grammar School Nkwerre followed by the famous Model School for Gifted Children. In his own words, Ehirim told Umuaka Times, “I started taking 1st position in my class from 2nd term of our 1st year with Navy. Capt Innocent Ejiofor of Eziachi Orlu, and Dr. Ugochukwu Chinaka of Okorokwara Nkwere and left as the Best Graduating Student; (both at Junior WAEC and Senior WAEC levels.
Ehirim has graced several political positions even during his days as a junior or senior student. “I was appointed Prefect/Leader of SAGS Catholic Students. Aside Corporate Services Sunday when we combined with our Anglican and Pentecostal SAGS comrades.”
After his secondary school, Ehirim went to UNN where he obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree with Honours (B.Pharm (Hons). When asked to buttress on this, he said; “Please you can go and verify with the faculty /school (The current Dean Prof. Ken Ofokansi was a my school mate and he is still there, Prof. A.A. Attama the immediate past Dean was my supervisor and he is still at UNN; Prof. Okey Esimone( the current Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University) was my Pharmacy Lecturer at UNN, and he is still around; Prof. Rev. Dr. Samson Emeka Eze, the University of Nigeria Nsukka Chaplain who is the Deputy Director, the Project T.J. Ehirim Clergies Directorate was my classmate and he is still a lecturer at UNN”.
So far, Tobechukwu Justice Ehirim has shown enough evidence that he is a new breed Nigerian politician with fresh ideas on how to move Imo State forward.
