Book launch: Nnaemeka Akanazu gives vote of thanks.

Popular poet and the winner of Umuaka Times Most Influential Poet of the Year Award in 2024, Mr Joe Blaze Nnaemeka Akanazu has sent a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the people and organizations that took part during the planning and launching of his book titled, Soul and Spirit: Poetry of the Heart which was held at Jubilee Hall of Assumpta Cathedral Owerri, the Imo State capital on January 8, 2025.

In an exclusive press statement the author issued to Umuaka Times last week, he wrote: “Dear esteemed guests and supporters, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for gracing my book launch with your presence. Your support means the world to me.

Continuing in his appreciation, the influential poet continued; “Thank you to the committee members to mention but a few; Ndaa Paddy Obinna, Hon. Louis Duru, Madam Oge Ibeagi, Dr. Kelvin Ugorji, Rev. Fr. Ernest Emechebe Chibuike Anumoka, Rosemary Ndaachass, Associate Prof. Iwu Collins Asogwa, Mrs Chinelo Brian- Ekeh, Mr. Franklin Chidibum Emerenini, Dr. Chisimdi Ihentuge and Dr. Darlington Onuchukwu.

Also to the special guests who added color and prestige to the unique book launch and made it worth it; the author extended his greetings to them which include, the Commissioner for Education Imo State, Prof. Johncliff Nwadike, Dr. Perry Ekwunazu, Chief Emeka Duru, Chief CJC Mmadueke. Chief Onyebuchi Egeolu and a host of others who made it to the event.

In his conclusion, Mr Akanazu wrote, “My friends and supporters, Herr Christopher Grimm (my boss), Dr.Chukwuemeka Ani, Engineer Oge Ozofor, Maurice Ejirimfughara, Elder Tango, Elder Philip Duru, and Mazi Williams Nwokeji.

Special thanks were also sent to his personal assistants Ester Chinatu Nnadi and Mrs Mary-Joy Chinazo Ihugba Omoh for all their contributions and sacrifices. In his own words, Akanazu commented that “Your contributions made the event unforgettable.”

Schools that took part during the event included, Bethel Seminary School Owerri, Christland Model Secondary School, Owerri City Schools, Santa Maria Secondary School Umuaka and St Saviour’s Secondary School Amiyi Umuaka. The schools were properly thanked for their presence and participation during the book lunch, by the author.
