Contrary to the news reports that emerged last week over the cause of death of Mr Obinna Nganwuchu, a promising young man from Uba, Umuaka Times has eventually ascertained the root cause of the death of the young lad. It can be recalled that in the current edition of Umuaka Times, it was reported that “Obinna’s death left some imprints that suggested that he may have committed suicide by drinking a very dangerous substance.” Umuaka Times can now authoritatively reveal the cause of death of the young guy.
According to facts obtained from informed family sources, Obinna Nganwuchu died of ‘ACUTE RESPIRATORY FAILURE’. This is also contained in his Death Certificate. Obinna had been ill for sometime now, and unfortunately did not survive the sickness. Umuaka Times regrets any embarrassment the earlier report may have caused the family.
Barrister Nganwuchu confirmed to Umuaka Times that his younger brother Obinna, had been ill for some time now. In his words, “it is so sad that he could not recover from the ailment but it is also the saddest news to suggest that he died from complications resulting from suicide.”
It is on record that Umuaka Times never categorically claimed that Obinna died of suicide but for the purposes of putting the records straight, there was no substance in the claim of death from suicide.
Umuaka Times sympathizes with the entire Nganwuchu family over the untimely death of their son, Obinna.
