2 min read

Miss Ifeoma Ihesie, a barrister at law and a community integration activist from Uba Umuaka has blamed the death of the Obeakpu motorcycle boy, Mr Chidiebere Okpara, murdered last week by another motorcycle boy from Amakor named Chikwado Green on the non-functionality of Umuaka Community Hospital. In a voice message last week released by Barrister Ihesie which went viral, Ihesie strongly lamented that if Umuaka Community Hospital was in full service, the life of the stabbed victim could have been saved by the hospital.

Ihesie went on and appealed to the stakeholders in the community to try their best as soon as possible to fix the hospital and save the lives of the people of Umuaka.

Barrister Ihesie also used the opportunity and condemned the setting on fire of the family houses in the compound Chikwado Green who is now at large came from. It can be recalled that after the murder incident took place last week, youths who are yet to be identified went to Amakor community and set the houses in the Green compound ablaze.

Ihesie who did not only condemn the act but went further to describe it as arson and questioned the rationale behind such a serious criminal offence, accused the youths who carried out the wild activity of taking the laws into their hands by burning the houses which none of them was built by Mr Chikwado Green, the suspected murderer. She eventually appealed to parents in the community to always train and advise their children against such acts.

As at press time last week, there were serious discussions at several quarters about the messages contained in the voice note by Barrister Ihesie.
