It was a heavy celebration last week when an illustrious son of Southeast Nigeria from Amaeze in Amurie Omanze Isu LGA Imo State, Engineer Magnus Agara took home two prestigious chieftaincy titles from two highly influential royal fathers in the state; HRM Eze Justin Ezeala and HRH Eze Charles Nnajiemere of Amurie Omanze respectively.

The celebrations first kicked off on Tuesday, 14 April 2026 at the famous Chukwujiekwu Palace of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community. Dignitaries included captains of industries from the organized private sector and others from the public domain. Also highly conspicuous during the celebration were the members of Obinwanne Umuaka Council of Chiefs and Amaeze Amurie Council of Chiefs who came to bear witnesses to the chieftaincy installation of their great son, Engineer Magnus Agara. They all gathered to fulfill one mission; give honour to whom honour is due!

Security operatives who were also present made sure that uninvited guests were not allowed in the royal compound of HRM Eze Justin Ezeala. Proceedings began with the arrival of the traditional ruler, followed by customary rites including the presentation and blessing of kola nuts. In his address, HRM Eze Justin Ezeala welcomed the guests and announced the conferment of a chieftaincy title on Agara, describing him as a distinguished philanthropist and worthy son of the Amaeze who has always been supportive to the progress of Obinwanne.

With no time to waste, Engineer Agara was called up for the big chieftaincy installation ritual. He stood up from where he was sitting and majestically stepped to the royal high table. His citation was then read to the audience and after that, HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala conferred on him the Ikenga 1 of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous community.

While making his acceptance speech, he donated the sum of N5million to the palace. He also announced a donation of N500, 000 to the cabinet. Ndilolo Obinwanne received N500,000  and Mama OnyeEze also got a donation of N500,000.

On Friday 17 April 2026, history repeated itself at the palace of HRH Eze Charles Nnajiemere of Amurie Omanze as he bestowed yet another prestigious chieftaincy title on High Chief Magnus Agara as the Okpata Enye Ohana Eze 1 of Amurie Omanze. The wife also was decorated with Ugosimba 1 of Amurie Omanze.

During the event, HRM Eze Justin Ezeala was at the palace with his chiefs. Also present were almost all the royal fathers from Isu LGA. In appreciation of the chieftaincy title, the Okpata Enye Ohana Eze 1 of Amurie Omanze and the Ikenga 1 of Obinwanne donated N5 million to  the Ezeudo Palace after he had first presented the sum of N2million to break the kola nut. His wife, Lolo Ugosimba 1 of Amurie Omanze gave N2.5million to Ndi Ugoeze Amurie in support of her husband. For other royal fathers at the event, each of them received the sum of N200,000 to fuel his cars.

The title Okpata Enye Ohana Eze, which translates to “one who earns wealth and shares it with the people,” reflects Agara’s reputation as a philanthropist. Community observers noted that his longstanding contributions to development and public welfare made the honors well deserved.

A youth leader, speaking anonymously, remarked that Agara had long been encouraged to accept such titles, adding that his decision to do so now signals even greater contributions ahead.

From the findings made by Umuaka Times, Engineer Magnus Agara is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nymagx Energy Services Limited, a Nigerian-based oil and gas company he founded in 2015. Agara has built the energy company into an international firm specializing in well services, pipeline construction, and facility rehabilitation with a, “Global Bridge” hub in Houston, Texas.

Umuaka Times congratulates Chief and Lolo Magnus Agara on their chieftaincy titles. From all indications, the best is yet to come.
