Evangelist Augustina Mbodo Amadi dies at 67.

The family of Rev Nicholas Amadi of Pentecostal Faith Revival Mission has announced with regrets, the untimely passage of the matriarch of the family, the late Evangelist Augustina Mbodo Amadi, an evangelist with the Pentecostal Faith Revival Mission. According to the press statement which was made available to newsmen in Owerri, issued on behalf of the Amadi family by Mr Amadi Casmire Ifeanyi, one of the children of the late Evangelist Augustina Amadi, the burial rites of  Mrs Amadi have been made public.

Umuaka Times confirmed from the press statement that there will be a service of songs at the family residence of the deceased at number 1Ajani Street Ilasamaja Lagos State Nigeria by 4 pm on December 14, 2021. Wednesday 5th January 2022 by 10 am, the body of the late evangelist will leave in a motorcade, the mortuary of General Hospital Umuneke in Imo State for lying in state at the late Pa Amadi Eke’s ancestral home in Umukotu kindred in Umuagii village of Obike town in Ngor Okpala LGA Imo State. The lying in-state has been scheduled to hold by11 o’clock in the morning.


The funeral service will be conducted  by the Pentecostal Faith Revival Mission Obike from mid day. Interment takes place by 1 pm.

The late Evangelist Augustina Mbodo Amadi Umuaka Times gathered, was born in 1954 and she passed away on October 5th 2021. She was 67 years old. During her life time, she was known for her devote Christian lifestyle which included a lot of evangelistic activities in and outside Lagos. She was a mother to many and was always available to render spiritual guidance to those in need, especially young couples.

Left to mourn her are her husband, Rev Nicholas Amadi, several children and grand children which include Mr Nonso Amadi, (son), a computer scientist and a Lagos based member of the organized private sector. Others include, Amadi Ifeanyi, son. Amadi Ikechi, son. Amadi Chinonye, son.  Amadi Amarachi, son. Amadi Chibuzor, son. Okorie Faith, daughter. Amadi Mercy, daughter and Amadi Esther, daughter. Several brothers and sisters and 14 grand children.  Umuaka Times sympathizes with the entire Amadi family over this great and untimely loss.
