2 min readThe royal father of Amiyi Akah Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Francis Ahanotu, a barrister at law recently received his Umuka Times merit award where the monarch won the Peace and Justice Defender of the Year Award. The event which attracted the Amiyi Akah general assembly was held in one of the multipurpose halls in the community.
The publisher of Umuaka Times while making his speech at the event before the presentation of the award, extolled the entire Amiyi community especially the alternative dispute resolution method which the palace has adopted in settling communal crises in the community. He further appealed to the community to keep maintaining the high standards it has embarked upon in handling most of the challenges facing it.
After his speech, he called upon Chief Kenneth Egolu and Chief Victor Esomonu to come forward and present the award to the royal father. Chief Kenneth Egolu while making his brief speech, thanked the Umuaka Times team and charged the Amiyi people to continue doing her good works in Umuaka.
Chief Esomonu also spoke on the need for the community to always be on the top.
After the presentation of the Umuaka Times Award to the royal father, Eze Francis Ahanotu, made a speech. According to his speech, he saw the award as an acknowledgement of the good things coming out from Amiyi Autonomous Community as well as a big task for the community to do more.
He thanked Umuaka Times for all her efforts in bringing Umuaka community to the global attention.
