Family Announces Burial Arrangements for “Nne Umu Boys”, Late Mrs Anna Azuanuka Osigidi.

The entire family of late Mr. Barth Osigidi of Umueziekeuzowuihe, UbaUmuaka in Njaba LGA, Imo State has announced the burial arrangements for their beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother, late Mrs. Anna Azuanuka Osigidi (née Nwadike), popularly known as “Nne Umu Boys”, who died at the age of 90. According to a press statement signed by Mr. Chidi Mathew Osigidi on behalf of the family which was made available to Umuaka Times, the burial ceremony will take place in January 2027 which comes as follows:
Thursday, 7th January, 2027, a wake keep and service of songs will be held in the Osigidi family compound, Uba, Umuaka. The event will take-off by 6pm. On Friday, 8th January, 2027, a funeral Mass will be held in her honour at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Umuaka by 10am. Interment will follow at 12 noon at the family compound still in the family compound.
Umuaka Times gathered that reception follows at St. Mary’s Church Hall on the same day.
To wrap up the activities, on Sunday, 10th January, 2027, the family will hold an outing service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Umuaka by 9am.
In Umuaka, the elderly, the young and the old, especially the “Umu Boys,” will certainly feel the loss of their beloved mother, as late Mrs. Anna Azuanuka Osigidi (née Nwadike), popularly known as “Nne Umu Boys,” will no longer be with them. Umuaka Times gathered that during her lifetime, she was a devoted Christian, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a caring figure to many others who knew and cherished her. Her passing is therefore being mourned not only by her immediate family but by the wider Umuaka community, where she was fondly regarded as a mother to many.
The family prays for the peaceful repose of her gentle soul and invites relatives, friends, well-wishers and the entire Uba Umuaka community and others to join them as they give their mother and famous “Nne Umu Boys” who slept in the Lord at the age of 90 a befitting burial. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
