The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Njaba State Constituency in the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly election, Hon. Victor Obinna Orgazi, popularly known as Brainbox, has assured the people of Njaba that he will deliver on his promises if given the opportunity to represent them. Orgazi’s message comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, with the candidate and his supporters increasingly highlighting what they describe as his long-standing involvement in community and public-interest activities.

In a statement issued by Hon. Solomon Okebata, Secretary of Camp Brainbox, the group described Orgazi’s record under the theme “20 Years of Sustained Positive Impact in Njaba”, arguing that leadership should be measured not only by campaign promises but also by activities undertaken before seeking elective office.
“Leadership is not defined by the promises made during an election season,” the statement said, adding that it should also be reflected in “the value created, the lives touched, the ideas sustained and the courage to keep serving when there is no microphone.”
According to the statement, Orgazi who is not a newcomer to the Njaba Assembly contest has spent about two decades involved in activities connected with the development of Njaba and is now seeking a broader platform through the State House of Assembly. The Independent National Electoral Commission’s published results show that he contested the 2019 Njaba State Constituency election under APGA, receiving 3,181 votes. The election was won by Jovita Uju Onwudiwe of the AA, who received 5,492 votes. His political activities continued in subsequent election cycles. In 2022, reports documented Orgazi’s involvement in voter-registration mobilization ahead of the 2023 elections, including sponsorship of transportation for eligible Njaba residents travelling to register for their Permanent Voter Cards.
More recently, Orgazi has also publicly responded to concerns about infrastructure in Njaba. In August 2026, following appeals from the Umuezikeoha youths and other residents, he pledged to facilitate an urgent intervention on the deteriorating the Uba side of UmuakaAmaigbo Road saying efforts were being made to make the affected section motorable. The appeal followed concerns about potholes and their effect on motorists, traders and pedestrians.
Orgazi has also called for greater public scrutiny of political contestants. Earlier this month, he appealed to Umuaka Times to organize public debates involving candidates for the Njaba State House of Assembly, Njaba chairmanship, the NINN Federal Constituency and the Orlu Senatorial District. He said debates would provide voters with an opportunity to hear candidates discuss their programs and respond to questions concerning their constituencies.
Brainbox has meanwhile embarked on an international political tour as part of his campaign for the Njaba Assembly seat. Umuaka Times reported that he travelled to the United States, where he met with Akalites and other stakeholders in Houston and Dallas, including community leaders and members of the diaspora. The newspaper also gathered that his consultations were expected to extend to New Jersey, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania, with Akalites in the United Kingdom, France, Portugal and South Africa also reportedly expecting engagements with him.
According to Orgazi, the meetings have provided an opportunity to explain his political agenda, listen to concerns and discuss the development of Njaba. He has also been active in the NDC’s political activities in the NINN communities. At the party’s town-hall meeting in Umuaka on September 9, 2026, he welcomed participants and called for support for NDC candidates across the NINN communities and beyond. He said the party was presenting what he described as a new agenda focused on “cleaning up Nigeria” and moving the country from a consumption-based economy towards production.
In the latest statement from his campaign organization, supporters presented Orgazi’s political aspiration as an extension of his previous community activities. The statement accompanying a photograph of Orgazi with Peter Obi, identified in the statement as the NDC presidential candidate for the 2027 election, said the photograph represented the candidate’s participation in the same political platform and a wider discussion about leadership, accountability, competence and representation. Camp Brainbox said the central question for Njaba ahead of 2027 should concern the experience, vision and plans of those seeking the mandate. Orgazi’s response, according to the statement, is encapsulated in three words: “I WILL DELIVER.” The campaign organization subsequently used the slogan: “Good. Better. Brainbox.”
As the 2027 election approaches, Orgazi is expected to face other contenders for the Njaba State Constituency seat. His campaign is consequently presenting his previous community activities, voter-registration mobilization, infrastructure advocacy, calls for political debates and current consultations as part of the record on which he is asking Njaba voters to assess his candidacy.
For voters, the 2027 contest will provide an opportunity to compare the candidates’ records, programs and commitments before deciding whom to support at the polls.
