A group known as In-Touch With Eburuaja, on Sunday 14 March 2021, paid an official visit to Miss Linda Eguka, the highly talented young girl who was hit by a reckless motorcycle boy in Umuaka on February 16 2021.Linda who has been admitted at the Noble Care Specialist Hospital Owerri was surprised to see Fr Eburuaja and his team when they arrived in the company of Umuaka Times publisher Darlington Ojy Onwukwe. There members of the group who came along with Eburuaja expressed deep sympathy over the plight Linda has been facing since the day her left leg was amputated.

While making his speech at the bedside of Linda, Eburuaja plainly told her that the problem of amputation should not in any way have a negative effect on her. He encouraged the girl to continue her journey in life because her talent and brain are still 100 percent intact. “This amputation can only limit the way you walk faster and that does not mean you cannot work again,” Eburuaja said.

The members of the group also used the opportunity to extent the greetings from other members who could not make it to the hospital with them. They told her to remain focused and the accident may be a blessing in disguise.

At the end of the visit, they presented both cash and material gifts to her which came from the group. Linda’s parents who were also present during this visit thanked the team for the love so far demonstrated by the group and promised to make sure that Linda would be properly encouraged and taken care of.

Meanwhile Linda Eguka has become a celebrity of some sort. She has been a major focus of discussions on the social medial since the day the accident happened. The news of the amputation of her leg which went viral last week after Umuaka Times Institute made it a breaking news, has continued to spread globally among Akalites and non Akalites alike. People have been showing deep concerns and sympathies in various forms in order to encourage the little girl that is just 19.
