A former parish priest of St Joseph’s Catholic Church Isiozi-Akah, Reverend Father Obinna Odinkalu has disclosed that he is missing his parishioners of St Joseph Catholic Church Isiozi-Akah. Father Odinkalu who was speaking with Umuaka Times last week during the burial ceremony of the late Mazi Nnaoma Damian Stanley Awuzu also told Umuaka Times that he has been praying for the success of the parish as well.

On the life of the late Nnaoma Awuzu, Rev Odinkalu described the man as a noiseless achiever who placed God first and trained all his children in the ways of God. He advised his children to copy some of the ways of their late dad but “don’t copy all. You see, not all of us will be quiet; some will be controversial, some will be quiet and others will be difficult and easy going too. If all of us are the same, the society will one day consume us. You know the challenges the man had during his time may not be the same his children will have.”

On the issue of 2023 general elections especially the presidential election, Reverend Odinkalu told Umuaka Times that the need for wise electoral decision is very urgent and the people must decide it now. “Everybody should be all eyes and all ears. 2023 will be a controversial year. Many will cry, many will rejoice. We must have to be formidable.”

Odinkalu also showed deep his dissatisfaction that many Igbo people do not love themselves as expected. He enjoined the Igbo people to always remember that Nigeria has a lot of reservations against them and urged them to work harder for collective success.
