1 min read

The motorcade that brought the remains of the late Mrs Helen Onyemepu to her home town Umuaka, arrived the family house by exactly 18 minutes after 11 am on Friday 5th August 2022 for the final burial rites of the woman who has been described by certain persons from certain quarters as a real woman of God who put God first in all she did.

Despite her ripe age, family members and some other relations took time to wail and cry the moment the undertakers entered the compound with the casket. Shortly after, her lifeless body was taken to the lying-in state room where her ancestral village relations from Ekwe were requested to go and identify if the corpse was really hers. In few minutes time, it was confirmed that the body was hers and in other of family chronology, mourners went in to see her for the last time and paid their last respect.

Immediately this was done, the church service began with some special songs from the Alpha Calvary Church choir which lasted for some time before the Lead Pastor of the church, Uche Udochukwu mounted the podium and preached.

By the time the gospel came to an end, Bishop Unamma said the closing prayers and the body of late Mrs Helen Mmiriuwamaotuonye Onyemepu was lowered down to her final resting place; a six feet grave, signaling the end of a 90 year journey.
