“Ndi Aku Ruo Ulo” to receive awards from Umuaka Times.

What does the phrase “aku ruo ulo” mean to you? Does it mean someone who has just taken a chieftaincy title with the name or does it mean someone who has established a company in Umuaka where he creates wealth, brings development and creates employments to the community?
For the past few months, Umuaka Times has been going round the entire town in search of “ndi aku ruo ulo (indigenous industrialists), these people who have so far given the community a business and commercial facelift will also be recognized by Umuaka Times for their love for the community. Umuaka Times Aku Ruo Ulo Award definitely goes to these indigenous industrialists who have created employment and happiness in the community. Any company owned by an Akalite which is based in Umuaka and helping to develop Umuaka will indeed receive this award. The purpose of this agenda is to make Umuaka town another Nnewi as an industrial hob of the state. Akalites whose businesses and companies are located outside Umuaka are not qualified to receive this award, at least for now.
