It was a great day for Chris Anyaibe, a high profile Uba Umuaka born chief based in the United States and his wife, Nneoma Di Ebube Princess Mary Anyaibe as she marked her Nneoma Nwere Ugo Church title on December 24 2023. The event which was held in the spacious Anyaibe compound in Uba saw a large number of people especially those from Dallas, USA and some other parts of the world and Nigeria as well in particular.

By 8 am on the eventful day, Nneoma Nwere Ugo Mary Anyaibe had already prepared for the event by the time Umuaka Times arrived at the big Anyaibe family compound. Few Minutes later, Chief Anyaibe and his wife took time to pose for some exclusive Umuaka Times pictures. Shortly after the photo session, together with some family members and friends, the Nneoma Nwere Ugo left for the Mass service at Hilltop Primary School Uba. Soon, the priest arrived and in no long time, the celebration of Mass began.

Also prominent during the Mass service were Chief Okechukwu Ojinnaka and his family relations and siblings. They came to do a thanksgiving service for the repose of the soul of their late mother who was interred on December 22, 2023.

The Mass service did not last as long as many people expected because there were many activities lined up for the day by many families in attendance. At the close of the church service, a more elaborate photo session took place; friends, well-wishers, women and family groups all took pictures with the celebrating couple.

The reception for the event which was fixed in the Chris Anyaibe country home started to gather momentum from 2pm when some individuals started to arrive one by one. Soon the canopies set for the events were all filled up by different guests and groups who graced the occasion.

The MC of the event Mr Dona Ijeoma by some 16 minutes after 5 pm, announced the name of the chairman of the occasion in the person of Chief Uzoma Achazie. Few minutes after the announcement was made, the celebrating couple was ushered into the event by some selected women from Uba Umuaka. After taking their seats, the MC also called for an opening prayer and the occasion began fully.

Chief Chris Anyaibe was called upon by the MC to give an opening speech and welcome address. This happened immediately after the presentation of kola nuts. Chief Anyaibe welcomed everyone and wished them a merry Christmas and then shared more hints on the event.

About 10 minutes after the opening speech was made by Chief Chris Anyaibe, came the dramatic arrival of the president of Umuaka USA in Dallas, Chief Emeka Odueze. Upon his arrival, Chief Odueze whose chieftaincy title name is Nwakaibeya went straight and greeted the celebrating couple, acknowledged greetings from the guests before climbing upstairs where other special guests from the United States were sitting.

Several groups of entertainers were also represented during the event and each of the groups took time to entertain with their dances.

Throughout the event, Chief Chris Anyaibe and his wife, Nneoma Nwere Ugo were busy making sure that all their guests were properly taken care of. Such guests included, Chief Davidson Agams, Chief Okey Durugbor, Barrister Leo Offorji, Chief Mrs Ann Ken Obi, Dr Marshall Madu, and his son Emeka. Mr Ik (Okwute) Iwunna, an Amurie Omanze born high profile personality, Chief Uzoma Achazie, Mr Anayo Aguocha and a host of others too numerous to mention.
