2 min read

Hon Davidson Agams speaks on the life and times of Tete Ihesie in a brief interview withUmuakaTimes.

Who was Tete to you?

He was my uncle. A very popular man in Njaba and Imo

Is it true that he took up other peoples cases especiallythose who can speak for themselves?

Yes. He did that always. He was the father of the fatherless. Be it in court or anywhere, he would come to assist the fellow unless he did not hear. He was known for that.

How has the community been since he died?

My brother when you visit a place like A Linem you would know that something bad really happened.  At A Line, anybody, who drives him car pass the road, even if the person is a governor etc, while passing, he would gently hit his walking stick on your car in order to attract the attention of the car owner. The person would then stop and Tete would ask the fellow to support the umuibe drinking at the bars in the area. People contributed money for his burial.

In your own opinion, what does that show?

It showed the level of love people had for him and it was also a measure of his popularity.

Your final message?

I thank all who contributed towards his burial. I pray that God will reward all of them. The life of Uchenwoke Tete Ihesie was a life of help to many. He loved his community a a lot and his community would forever miss him.

Thanks a lot for your time.

Thanks my brother.
