The Biography of late Mrs Letricia Unadike. By John Unadike.

Late Mrs Letricia (Uwakwuwaonu) meaning the people of this world should talk less was born into the family of late Chief and Lolo Ukachinwa Egbuegbu of Umudim Achara Autonomous Community in Umuaka.

She attended her basic education but was not able to finish up before her marriage, she had a very good cordial relationship between her and her family in Achara.


She was born and grew up in a very big family of Ukachinwa in Umudim Achara Umuaka. Before her marriage, she was an active member of Anglican Church.

She was the first daughter and the second born of her mother Lolo Uruabata and Chief Ukachinwa Egbuegbu in Umudim Achara Autonomous community.

She was loved by all because of her love, gentility and generosity towards her siblings and her half brothers and sisters.
She got married at the right age to Mr Romanus Ubashia Unadike in Umulolo, Umuezeala Uba Umuaka community in the same Umuaka land. Mama was known to be a very good business woman that dealt on selling of yam, fufu, plantain, and other food stuffs.

Mrs. Letricia Uwakwuwaonu was a very good farmer even until her death and she had very good dividends to show for her hard work despite losing her husband at an early age in marriage. She refused to remarry and solely oversaw to the training of her children.
Nma was blessed with eight children but five died before her presence. She was known to be a treasurer in any organization she belonged to and also a former treasurer to Umulolo women’s wing because of the trust people had in her. Many came to her for loan but she hardly said no to any of them.


Out of her eight children only three sons were alive to bury her today. She was an active member of St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka until her death.

She survived with 35 great grandchildren, 21 grandchildren and 3 sons, 2 daughter in-laws as her first daughter in-law late Mrs. Anthonia Unadike died few years ago. Nma Letricia had even in her old age.
