Onwa Foundation football tournament kicks off in Amakor.

The much awaited Onwa Foundation football tournament going on in Amakor Autonomous Community Njaba LGA has kicked off. The kickoff date was Sunday August 28, 2022 and the football tournament will last till October 3 2022. It can be recalled that the last time the tournament was held, it was Hilltop Primary School Uba that played host from the beginning to the end.
When Umuaka Times called on the founder of the foundation, Ambassador Nwuke Fidelis earlier last week, he confirmed that the tournament had put in place all the necessary arrangements to ensure success and the locals are responding positively through various supports.
Umuaka Times gathered that the tournament is among all the communities in Umuaka Municipal Council and the value of the cup in contest is N500K.
Onwa Foundation which has its roots in Umuaka has gradually turned into a national and international movement that uses charity and philanthropy to make positive changes across the world. The foundation uses international cultural events to promote the rich culture of Nigeria across the globe.
In a recently concluded international cultural fiesta in Germany that ended a few weeks back, Onwa Foundation sent a delegation from Nigeria which met with their foreign counterparts and they all interacted together and built relationships aimed at enhancing international cultural exchanges.
