Chief Louis Duru who anchored the event told Umuaka Times that he personally felt moved when he saw the medical supplies delivered totally free of charge by those who have never visited the community before. “You see, that is what is called love which the Bible preaches and encourages Christians to emulate.”
Duru specifically thanked the donor agency and thanked those who made it possible, especially the members of Orlu United Medical Foundation OUMF. “My appreciation will not be complete if I fail to mention specifically auntie, sister and mother, Dr Mrs Chika Ugbaja, the functional brain behind the success story.”
While concluding his appreciation message, Chief Duru extended his vote of thanks to all the top personalities who despite their individual tight schedules made it to the event both those from the organized private sector and some other state actors. On his final note, he specifically thanked the state commissioner of health Dr Prosper Ohaya who disclosed that of the 27 organizations who entered into concession agreement with Imo State Government, only three have lived up to the concession agreement.
