The family of the late Mr Clement Emenawibe Okeziri of Umulolo Umuezeala Uba has announced the smooth passing to glory of their mother, grandmother and great grandmother, the late Mrs. Francisca Nwaijuru Ogbenyealu Okeziri nee Ukajim.
This information was contained in a press statement issued last week by Mr Afams Anthony Okeziri on behalf of the Okeziri family which was made available to Umuaka Times and other pressmen in the state. From the information contained in the press statement, the late Mrs Okeziri’s rites of passage begins on Thursday 3 August 2023 with a wakes night and service of songs which will hold in the Okeziri family compound in Umulolo Umuezeala Uba Umuaka.
On Friday August 4, the remains of late Mrs Okeziri will leave the Umuaka Community Hospital mortuary in a motorcade by 7 am to the Okeziri family house in Umulolo Umuezeala Uba for lying in state. By 10 am, the body leaves for St Mary’s Church Umuaka for a funeral Mass. Internment will hold by 12 midday in the Okeziri family compound in Umulolo Umuezeala Uba.
Sunday August 6, 2023, the entire Okeziri family, relations, friends and well-wishers will be taking part in a thanksgiving Mass at St Mary’s Catholic Church by 9 am. The late Francisca Nwaijuru Ogbenyealu Okeziri, a devoted Christian mother who was born in 1926, died at the age of 97 years. She was survived by 8 children, 45 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and more others too numerous to mention.
