2 min readFamous women leader and devout Christian mother from Umulolo Ugbele Akah Njaba LGA of Imo State, Nneoma Nwere Ugo Mrs Felicia Akojuru last Friday being August 25 marked her seventy first birthday celebration in grand style. The event which drew many guests from in and outside Umuaka was properly packed to hold in two places; St Joseph’s Parish Ugbele and at the Akojuru family house in Ugbele. At the peak of the celebration the woman of substance as well as the “birthday girl” took time to hold talks with Umuaka Times reporters who covered the event. She used the opportunity to give her birthday message to the world.
In her birthday message, Nneoma Mrs Felicia Akojuru first gave God the Almighty the greatest thanks for her life. She almost moved to tears as she was narrating to Umuaka Times when things were not as good as expected some decades ago and she and her late husband suffered to train their children, against all odds. She thanked God that today, there is a new chapter of life in the Akojuru family and there is light at the end of the tunnel as the storm is finally over!
Mrs Akojuru thanked her children Mr. Chidi and Ifeanyi Akojuru and her siblings; Mr Boniface Igwebuike and her only sister Nneka (nee) Igwebuike who collectively organized the special birthday celebration for her. The celebrater used the opportunity and asked God to keep blessing them one after the other.
On her birthday message to Akalites and Nigerians in general, Nneoma Nwere Ugo Mrs Felicia Akojuru used the opportunity and passed her message to the world especially Ndi Igbo and her fellow Christians as well as Nigerians in general to have their focus in God always and never look back. “God is always there at last to salvage you from any bad situation the enemies may have put you into.”
In her conclusion, she took the time to thank everyone who took part in the celebration especially the Parish Priest of St Joseph’s Catholic Church Ugbele Akah, Rev Father Game-Game for his role and all his efforts to make the parish the positive talk of the town.
