Will McDonald Dire be the next NINN law maker?

High profile Akalite, businessman, administrator and highly celebrated philanthropist known and addressed as Celebrity High Quality Chief Hon Engineer McDonaldNnamdi Dire (Oyi) has indicated his interest to run for the House of Representatives to represent NjabaNwangele, Isu and Nkwerri Federal Constituency otherwise known as NNIN. If he wins, he will be the first federal law maker of Umuaka extraction since the advent of democracy from 1999 till date.

It can be recalled that in 2023, Honourable Dire was the Labour Party’s flag bearer who contested among other politicians from other political parties and he came second according to the result announced by INEC. A result that he did not agree with and subsequently headed to court to contest it.

Honourable Dire has what it takes to be the next federal law maker for NINN because of his social status, his caring spirit and the welfare projects he has personally embarked on.

On his academic background, Dire read at the Federal University of Technology Owerri under the Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Technology and Department of Agricultural Engineering where he obtained his BA degree in engineering from the school.

On his socialization with the people, he is the president of Visionary Elite Friends of Imo State; an organization of young men who have the interest of their state Imo, at heart. The organization has members both in Nigeria and diaspora. Engineer Dire is the patron of Omenala Ga Adi, a socio-cultural organization in Igboland that promotes Igbo cultures, traditions and customs.

Talking about his philanthropies which are numerous to mention, Dire has built houses for people in IsioziUmuakaand is currently building another in UmueleUmuakafor someone who is desperately in need of a building. He has assisted some people to start up their businesses and trades and has assisted some school proprietors to secure accreditation documents.  There are some students on his school fees parole both in Umuaka and outside Umuaka. His philanthropic gestures also include sick persons who are currently receiving palliatives from him to take care of their medical bills.

Another area is Engineer Dire has been spending money on is the area of migration of youths to foreign countries. Although he regrets that none of the youths has succeeded in this venture but he has spent a large fortune while pursing the project.

Umuaka Times gathered that many youths numbering about 15 are under various apprenticeships courtesy of his milk of kindness.

In recognition of his selfless activities, he has received the following chieftaincy titles: the late HRH Eze Robert OgbennaofIsuNjababestowed him with the title of Oyi Na-atuMba 1 of IsuNjaba. In Umuaka, the late HRH Eze A.C.A. Ojinnakagave him the title of OkogbuOnyeUkwu 1 of Umuaka.InIsioziAkah, he obtained Dee Oyii of IsioziAkah Autonomous Community.

In Ekwe Ancient Kingdom, HRH Eze Charles EmekaAnyakudo bestowed him with the title of EfeeMbaAhuMba 1 of Ekwe.

Among those who are learning works under him, he buys tools and opens shops for them at the completion of their apprenticeships.

Celebrity High Quality Chief Hon Engineer McDonald Nnamdi Dire (Oyi) is a businessman based in the state of New York in the United States of America. He is a licensed car dealer and a licensed real estate consultant. On the political party he will run under, the high profile versatile administrator, politician and youthful philanthropist and engineer is yet to make open the name of the political party.
