Arthur Meremikwu marks birthday with a message of hope to Ndi Igbo.

Amakor Autonomous Community of Njaba born stakeholder Prince Arthur Meremikwu (the Earthquake 1 of Igboland) yesterday being Saturday April 4, 2026 marked his birth with heavy funfair in Owerri.

During the event the Lagos based businessman used the opportunity and appealed to his fellow Igbo men and women to remain focused in the face of all the atrocities and economic hardship in the country today. According to him, the Igbo race should come together to fashion out a program that will benefit the entire Igbos.

Speaking further, he reminded the leaders of Igboland especially the World Igbo Congress, OhanezeNdi Igbo and other groups not to forget Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in prison.

“Our Igbo leaders should do their best to make sure that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released from prison,” he told Umuaka Times.

As the political atmosphere is seriously getting charged on daily basis in preparation for 2027, Mazi Meremikwu used the opportunity of his birthday celebration and urged Umuaka people to start warming up and building the momentum for effective representation at all levels of the government.

On the issue of Peter Obi’s presidential ambition, the Earthquake appealed to Ndi Igbo to support Obi and realize Igbo presidency in 2027. “We cannot continue to be treated like slaves in our fatherland. At times I wonder how Nigeria will be in the next 4 years. May be by then, the exchange rate will be N4000 per dollar. That is why we need a Peter Obi presidency.”

In his conclusion Meremikwu thanked the almighty God for adding yet another one year to his life.
