The remains of the late Chiedozie Madu, fondly known as Dodo, will be laid to rest on Friday, 24 April 2026, in his father’s compound at Umuishii, Umuezeala Uba, Umuaka.

Family sources told Umuaka Times that the burial date was fixed following consultations among family and relatives.
Dodo, aged 22, tragically passed away on Friday, 10 April 2026, following a motorcycle accident along the Umudiokwara-Amurie road in Isu Local Government Area. Eyewitnesses reported that after the collision between his bike and another, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by the doctor.
Those who knew Dodo during his short lifetime describe him as gentle, responsible, and resilient. Umuaka Times learned that he was an inspiration to his peers, encouraging many to pursue apprenticeships. Some were undergoing training in tiling under his guidance, reflecting his influence and commitment to supporting others in his community.
Dodo’s untimely death has left a deep void among family, friends, and the wider Umuaka community, who will continue to remember him for his kindness, industriousness, and positive impact on those around him. It is expected that his friends, ex-students, youths and those who knew him will gather to bade him a final farewell.
