Family announces death of Mrs. Rose Ndubuisi Okoro of Umuezikoha Uba Umuaka Imo State.

The Okoro family of Umuonyiriegbe Umuezikoha, Uba Umuaka in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, has formally announced the passing of their matriarch, Mrs. Rose Ndubuisi Okoro, whose death occurred after a brief illness.

The announcement was contained in a press statement signed by her first son, Bishop Edu Adigwe, a United States-based cleric, televangelist, and founder of a growing Christian ministry with followers across Nigeria and the diaspora. According to the statement, Mrs. Okoro passed away approximately two weeks ago while receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Aba, Abia State.

Family sources described the late Mrs. Okoro as a devoted Christian mother, community woman, and respected daughter of Zion who dedicated much of her life to the service of God, the upbringing of her children, and the advancement of peace and unity within her community. Her passing has reportedly thrown members of the extended Okoro family and residents of Uba Umuaka into mourning.

Umuaka Times correspondents in American gathered that sympathizers, friends, church associates, and relatives from within Nigeria and abroad have continued to send condolence messages to the family, especially to Bishop Edu Adigwe and his siblings, while praying for strength for the bereaved family during this difficult period.

Community leaders in Njaba LGA were said to have expressed sadness over her death, describing her as a woman known for humility, kindness, and unwavering commitment to Christian values. Several church members who knew her reportedly testified to her life of prayer, generosity, and support for the less privileged.

Although the family has yet to release official burial arrangements, preparations are believed to be underway for what is expected to be a well-attended funeral ceremony in her hometown of Uba Umuaka. The family assured friends and well-wishers that details of the funeral rites and service of songs will be communicated in due course.

Mrs. Rose Ndubuisi Okoro is survived by her seven children, including Bishop Edu Adigwe, grandchildren, extended family members, and numerous loved ones whose lives she impacted during her lifetime.
