High profile Akalite, marine engineer, boat builder and a Port Harcourt based industrialist, Dr Duru Stephen Chiedozie has been promoted to the academic rank of an Associate Professor. This announcement was made public a couple of months ago during the 97th meeting of the governing council of Niger Delta University Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State. Dr Duru Stephen Chiedozie is a member of the academic staff of the great institution.
From what Umuaka Times gathered when the publisher of the newspaper paid an official visit to the Associate Professor at the premises of his boat building firm, Stemarine Ltd, based in Port Harcourt, the meeting where this announcement was made was held on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
While speaking to Umuaka Times in an exclusive interview during the visit, Associate Professor Duru Stephen Chiedozie, an expert in marine engineering deeply expressed his joy over the promotion. He thanked the Almighty God and described the entire episode as a function of hard work and dedication.” I worked very hard for it and I am very happy to have it. It is a destiny fulfilled in my life because many people who know me well have long been asking for it from me. Now some say that it is a very well deserved position for me. Thanks God very much for this promotion.”
