It was a big fun and event last Monday when Umuaka Times crew went to Amakor community to bestow the Umuaka Times Covid19 Charity Award on the Eze-Elect, Chief Charles Amuzie (Agunaecheibe). By the time the crew arrived at the ancestral home of the Amuzies, the guests have all arrived and were awaiting for the arrival of the Umuaka Times team. Mr Mike Amuzie, the younger brother of Chief Charles Amuzie who lives far away in America came and ushered in the crew. He announced to the guests that he had been briefed by the Eze-Elect himself to receive the ward on his behalf.

Son of the soil, Mr Elias Ngaodurubie, who was the spokesman for the family during the event extolled the virtues of Chief Amuzie whom he described as a big asset to the community. He went further to ask other rich people in the community to emulate the footprints of Chief Amuzie and finally thanked the newspaper on its efforts in recognizing the good and cheerful givers in the community who have so far identified with their villages and communities during the Corona Virus lockdown.

Mr Mike Amuzie who received the award on behalf of his elder brother, deeply wished that his elder brother was around physically to receive the award because not only that his brother, Chief Charles Amuzie is a man of the people, but he is also a man of wisdom.
