Odoemenem set to drag INEC to court over change of election date.

For shifting the original date of the general election which was supposed to be held on Saturday March 11, 2023, the Umuaka born top politician and the candidate of YPP vying for Imo House of Assembly to represent Njaba LGA, Hon K.O. Odoemenem has indicated his intentions to drag the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to court after the governorship and house of assembly elections which come up on Saturday 18 March 2023.

Odoemenam who confirmed to Umuaka Times that he and his campaign organization suffered great losses as a result of the postponement of the original election date to another date, seriously complained to Umuaka Times that INEC has by this singular move to change the date of the election created doubts in his mind and his supporters that the election will be free and fair.


While holding talks with the Umuaka Times reporter who visited him recently, Honourable Odoemenem maintained high hopes that that his party YPP, will still emerge victorious at the end of the exercise because according to him, he has done a very powerful campaign, offered prayers in churches, made all the consultations and received positive responses from the voters across Njaba LGA.

On his final note and despite the wrong move by INEC, Hon Odoemenem used the opportunity and appealed to his supporters to play by the rules of the game and protect their votes after voting. He also took time to warn trouble makers to stay away from the exercise because his is a divine project.
