Uche Oguike tasks youths on self development, behavioural change.

UK based high profile Akalite and the director and principal, Hildebrant Ltd Group of Practices, Dr Uche Oguike has tasked youths in Umuaka Municipal Council and Njaba LGA generally, to embark on self development activities and interventions that will create a vibrant economic and positive social dynamics for them on the task ahead. Dr Oguike who is a philanthropist and a top community leader from Uba, made this call when the UK correspondent of Umuaka Times called on him over the recent motorcycle donation he made to Uba Umuaka to strengthen the security architecture of the community.
Oguike who showed no reservations on the social laxities of today’s youths especially “motorcycle boys” while holding talks with Umuaka Times, wondered why Umuaka Municipal Council is not doing enough on how to arrest the ugly trend that has negatively impacted on the psyche of young Akalites of today, especially those based in Umuaka. In his own words, Dr Oguike observed, “The school enrolments in Umuaka are drastically very low and so too is business apprenticeships. The get rich quick syndrome is high in the community and that is why we have the fallouts as today’s insecurity.”
On his final advice to the youths, the UK based medical scientist who had acquired BDS (Ibadan), MPA (Maiduguri), MHPM (Maiduguri, STAT EXAM (UK), MFDS, RCS (Eng), MSC(Warwick), advised the youths, “To use every opportunity they have to develop themselves. It is when one is developed that he or she will be useful to himself, his family, his community and the society. Let them remain focused and hard working. They should avoid unnecessary distractions.”
Meanwhile from the moment Mr Chibuike Duruoha announced the donation of N350,000 from Dr Oguike for the purchase of the motorcycle, several sons and daughters of the community took to their whatsapp to thank the cheerful donor for his kind gesture.
