Umuaka 3 day medical outreach achieves maximum results.

The 3 day medical outreach organized by the George Izunwa Foundation which began on Thursday 22 February 2024 and ended on Saturday February 24, 2024 has been adjudged as a huge success that achieved the expected maximum results. This conclusion was reached by a team of Umuaka Times reporters who covered the event and other volunteers who helped during the program.
On what informed the judgment of Umuaka Times and some volunteers, the result presented by the George Izunwa Foundation was instrumental to the decision.
From what Umuaka Times authoritatively gathered, 3015 persons benefited from a variety of medical services during the free medical outreach. The outreach also recorded 360 free recommended eye glasses given to those who had optical issues. In addition to this figure, Umuaka Times also gathered that 10 free eye surgeries were successfully performed during the outreach. 14 individuals whose cases were not minor have been penciled down for free optical surgeries scheduled to take place in Port Harcourt as soon as possible.
The Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents who witnessed the outreach, reliably gathered that a total number of 7 surgeries ranging from lypoma, herniorrhaphy and breast lumps will also be carried out at absolutely no cost to the patients by the George Izunwa Foundation in Port Harcourt in a couple of days.
On the subject of empowerment and capacity building, the foundation assisted 6 apprenticeship fashion designers and tailors with sewing machines. 12 students from secondary schools in Umuaka were also given financial assistance towards their WAEC registration. 50 widows were given 50 bags of rice by the foundation.
The 2024 edition of the Umuaka free medical mission of the George Izunwa Foundation was a great success which has indeed positively impacted on the people of Umuaka and outsiders who made it to the program.
