While answering questions from Umuaka Times shortly anger the program, the Executive Director of Women’s Crisis Centre, Ms Lesley Chinwe Agams, said that one of the key purposes for the disbursement of funds to the women was because of the harsh effects of Cvid119. In her analysis, Covid19 did not kill many people n the state and the Umuaka but it created a deep economic crisis globally which reached Umuaka. She strongly made an advocacy to government and donor agencies to always invest in women because they are less likely to misappropriate the funds. Agams further commended the Umuaka women for their industry and love for their families.

The donor agency that provided the cash for the women was Open Society Institute for West Africa OSIIWA.
