US based pro-democracy advocate and the principal attorney and counselor, Nwachukwu Law Offices Atlanta, Georgia, United States, Dr Chris Nwachukwu has issued a congratulatory message to his fellow kinsmen and women of Umuezikoha Uba Umuaka for the successful launching of their neighbourhood watch security outfit.
Dr Nwachukwu who disclosed this in a brief interview with the Umuaka Times correspondent in America thanked the community for her resilience, commitment, love and togetherness. He further appealed to the community to continue to sing with one voice and work together for a greater tomorrow.
It is on record that Dr Nwachukwu made a donation of N4.5 million towards the security project. On the issue of security in the entire Uba Umuaka community, Dr Nwachukwu appealed to other communities in Uba Umuaka to organize themselves properly and come up with their security blueprints.
He told Umuaka Times that as someone who is committed to positive causes in his community and beyond, he would also donate towards the security projects in order to encourage such Uba communities. “If Uba people are serious about forming security outfit, I will also donate towards that.”
On the activities of the Umuezikoha Neighbourhood Watch UNW, Dr Nwachukwu demonstrated his confidence in the security outfit and further stated that the security outfit has been given a set of rules that will guide its activities within the scope of the laws of the land. ”The community will never tolerate any form of human rights abuses and corruption from the group,” Dr. Nwachukwu informed Umuaka Times.
Meanwhile the Umuezikoha Neighbourhood Watch has since gone to work after the inauguration of the team last week. The group will be operating and patrolling within Umuezikoha axis and can move out of the Umuezikoha axis on a distress assignment or an emergency.
