Jubilation in Njaba as “Brainbox,” Wins NDC Primaries.

There was widespread jubilation across Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State following the announcement that youthful politician and emerging grassroots leader, Obinna Orgazi, popularly known as “Brainbox,” had secured a landslide victory in the just concluded NDC primaries. Supporters, party faithful, and young people across the constituency erupted in celebration as the results revealed an overwhelming endorsement of the Brainbox political movement, widely regarded as a symbol of youthful capacity, progressive leadership, and grassroots inclusion in Imo State politics.

According to the official results released at the end of the exercise, Obinna Orgazi polled an impressive 180 votes, defeating his opponent, Barrister Goddy Ifeanyi Udeagwu, who secured only 4 votes. The victory has since been described by political observers as a strong statement from party members and the people of Njaba who appear eager for a new generation of leadership driven by competence, vision, and people-oriented governance.

Speaking shortly after the announcement of the results, Orgazi expressed deep appreciation to members and supporters of the NDC in Njaba for the trust and confidence reposed in him.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to the wonderful people and committed members of NDC Njaba for the overwhelming love, support, and confidence you demonstrated during the just concluded primaries, where we secured a resounding victory,” he stated.

He further described the triumph as a collective victory for young people, supporters, and believers in the movement who have remained steadfast from the beginning.

“This victory is not just mine; it belongs to every young person, every supporter, and every believer who has stood firmly with this movement from the very beginning. Once again, you have shown your faith in our vision, our ideals, and our determination to build a better future for the great people of Njaba and Imo State at large,” he added.

However, the aftermath of the primaries has not been without controversy. Orgazi alleged that following the announcement of the results, Barrister Goddy Udeagwu reportedly informed some youths in Njaba that the contest was not over and that he intended to approach the State Chairman and the party’s National Office in a bid to overturn the outcome of the primaries.

Reacting to the development, Orgazi expressed disappointment while maintaining his commitment to peace and democratic principles.

“Hearing such words from a man many of us grew up respecting and looking up to is both unfortunate and disappointing. Nevertheless, I remain committed to peace, democracy, and due process,” he said.

He called on all stakeholders to respect the wishes of party members and uphold fairness and justice in the interest of unity within the party.

Orgazi also appealed to elders, leaders, and well-meaning sons and daughters of Njaba to prevail on his opponent to embrace sportsmanship and work towards the collective progress of the constituency. Political analysts believe the emergence of Obinna Orgazi signals a growing shift toward youth-driven leadership in Imo State, especially among grassroots political structures increasingly demanding accountability, inclusion, and fresh ideas.

Reaffirming his commitment to the people, Orgazi assured supporters that their trust would not be betrayed.

“To every supporter, every volunteer, and every believer in this project, I assure you today: we will never betray your trust. We remain committed to the struggle for progress, inclusion, and a brighter future for our people,” he declared.

He concluded with a message of hope and determination, saying, “The journey has only just begun, and together, we shall make history.”
