Emma Duruigbo donates N100K to Church as family remembers Miss Duruigbo.
2 min readThe one year remembrance of the Uba Umuaka born famous teacher, Miss Josephine Duruigbo was marked last Sunday January 8, 2022 by the Duruigbo family and her friends. The event which took place at St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka attracted many people from in and outside Nigeria, especially those whose lives were molded by the late famous teacher during her active years.
Speaking during the church service on behalf of the Duruigbo family, Lagos lawyer, positive change advocate and the principal Attorney Ducex Solicitors, Attorney Emma Duruigbo, one of the children of the late teacher thanked the people who attended the event and urged them to continue praying for the soul of Miss Duruigbo and all other faithfully departed. He told the congregation that Miss Duruigbo Educational Foundation has already been established and the foundation will assist and promote the education of the indigent girl child in the society.
Before he ended his speech, he finally told the church that the Miss Duruigbo’s one year remembrance coincided with the celebration of his 10 years of successful marriage anniversary with his amiable wife, Barr Mrs Perpetua Duruigbo. These two events informed his decision to announce a donation of N100,000 for the renovation project going on in the church.
He specifically thanked Chief Arthur Obieze who recently donated a car to the church to support the work of God. He appealed to other sons and daughters of Umuaka to donate and support the church projects.
